  66.      SECTION 1:  Getting Started & Hardware Requirements
  67.  
  68.     Hardware;
  69.     You must have the files and buffers set to a min of 24. This
  70.     program will work on any monitor from monochrome to VGA.
  71.  
  72.     One Drive System; 
  73.     Start your computer as you normally would (with the DOS diskette)
  74.     then insert the Household TRACKER Diskette into drive "A", at the
  75.     DOS prompt type in "A:\HTRACKER". The program will run slowly from
  76.     diskette but is acceptable.
  77.  
  78.     Hard Disk System;
  79.     Start your computer as you normally would. Make a directory
  80.     for TRACKER (consult your DOS manual for instructions on how to
  81.     make a directory and copy files). Copy all the files from your
  82.     Household TRACKER diskette into this directory. At the DOS prompt
  83.     type in "HTRACKER" to run the program.

  86.      PRECAUTIONS:
  87.     To insure proper operation of the program it is best to place it
  88.     in it's own directory. This is only a precaution, progams that
  89.     are in there own directories do not bother or are not bothered by
  90.     any other program. This is not a must, just good practice. The
  91.     program write file to the diskette which are *.k01 & *.dat, do not
  92.     remove any of these files from the diskette.

  95.      SECTION 2:  Household TRACKER in Windows
  96.  
  97.     To use Household TRACKER in Windows 3.0 and install the Icon, use
  98.     the normal procedure to start Windows. Select the window in which
  99.     you want to install the program (refer to your windows manual for
  100.     installation of programs). Once you have installed the program in
  101.     Windows, single click on the program just to highlight it. Pull
  102.     down the "FILE" menu and select properties. Click on change icon.
  103.     In the "File Name Box", type in the Drive:\path\icon.name,
  104.     (ie: C:\HTRACKER\HTKER.ICO). Click OK & OK. You should now have the
  105.     FMS icon on the screen above the program. If you have a problem
  106.     with this procedure consult your windows manual.

  124.      SECTION 3:  Main Menu Screen
  125.  
  126.     When you first start the program you will encounter the main menu
  127.     screen. You can select the menu you want to fill in by highlighting
  128.     the selection using the arrow keys. You may also use the numeric key
  129.     pad by turning off the num lock.
  130.     Once you have highlighted the menu you want to use press enter. You
  131.     will now see the scrolling window in the backround and the entery
  132.     window in the front. Fill in this window with your data. Once you
  133.     have filled in the last item the window will automatically be put
  134.     away and update the scrolling window. This is the same for all the
  135.     menu items in this program. If you want to Update or view the data
  136.     you have already entered, just highlight that item and press enter.
  137.     You can now change or view the data. To change just press enter
  138.     until you get to the item you would like to change, then change that
  139.     item and press enter for the rest of the data. Your file will be
  140.     updated when you reach the last item in the window.
  141.     To delete an existing file, highlight that file and press the delete
  142.     key. You will now see that file and be asked to verify by pressing
  143.     the enter key. If you do not want to delete this file just press the
  144.     Esc key. All the files can be put away or you can back up on screen
  145.     by pressing the Esc key.    
  146.     The program will write files to the directory you have placed
  147.     Household TRACKER in, these files have the extensions k01 & dat.
  148.     DO NOT delete any of these files as they are what contains your data.
  149.     If you decide to delete one of these files, the program will upon
  150.     startup reconstruct a NEW file to use.
  151.     To back up your program data, copy the files *.k01 and *.dat to
  152.     diskette. These are your data files (keep them safe).
  153.  
  154.      SECTION 4: About Shareware
  155.  
  156.     Shareware is a try-before-you-buy process in which you are allowed to
  157.     use the program for a specific amount of time. This time will vary from
  158.     program to program. The grace period for this program is three weeks.
  159.     If after that time you find this program useful you are expected to
  160.     register with the author (see registration info below). If however
  161.     after the specified time you do not find the program useful, you are
  162.     required to remove it from use. Remember that the shareware system will
  163.     only work if you support it by registering your program with the author.
  164.     This also encourages the authors of shareware to continue to write 
  165.     quality programs, upgrade existing programs and supply support.
  166.  
  167.     If you choose not to register, we would still like to hear about any
  168.     comments or suggestions you have about the program.

  201.     to encourage registered users to make suggestions as to what they would   
  202.     like to see put in here. If can think of something else you would like
  203.     to keep track of let us know. The more suggestion we recieve, the more

  207.      SECTION 7: Permission to Copy

  209.     Clubs, Individuals and other Organizations are granted permission to
  210.     freely distribute this program and its associated documents by              Flying Mouse Software.
  211.     Distribution Requirements:

  213.     1. The registration fees for this program are to the author ONLY.
  214.        No fees charged for the software and it's documentation above and
  215.        beyond the fees for disk duplication and distribution,
  216.        (normally under $6.00)

  218.     2. No advertisement made as to the program being public domain, free,
  219.        or cheap. All advertisements must state this program is SHAREWARE.

  430.     Household Tracker keeps track of many of the
  431.     normal haoushold items in one database. Items such as Auto repairs,
  432.     magazine subscriptions, phone list, credit cards, VCR Tapes and
  433.     regular items including serial #'s, model #'s and warranties. The
  434.     program will also print your inventory of household items along with
  435.     labels for your tapes and a booklet. Household Tracker keeps track of
  436.     your items and list in one program so you don't have to look through
  437.     an assortment of seperate programs. Help screen is also included.
  438.     Very easy to use scrolling lists and fill windows.
